Minute Book for patients, families and the public
The boards that run NHS hospitals and health services publish papers about what they were told and what they decided. Search them for the services you use, and follow your local NHS organisations, free.
What you can do with it
- Find what your local hospital trust or health board was told about a service you use, such as a maternity unit or the emergency department.
- Follow your local NHS organisations for free, and see their new papers in one place.
- Read the coroners’ reports sent to an organisation, and whether its response is published on judiciary.uk.
- Read the reports local Healthwatch published about what patients and carers told them.
Searches to try
- "waiting times"
What boards were told about how long people wait.
- "emergency department"
Pressures on A&E, and what boards planned to do about them.
- "patient experience"
Reports on what patients said about their care.
- complaints
The complaints boards were told about, and what they were about.
Searching is free, with no account. Results come from the papers we hold, and we don’t hold every organisation’s papers for every year. See which years we hold for each organisation.
What helps most
Search the papers
Type a word or phrase, such as a ward, a service or a hospital’s name, and see where it comes up in board papers across the UK. Each result links to the original on the organisation’s website.
Follow organisations
Follow any organisation from its page, free and with no limit. Your Alerts page lists its new papers and the coroners’ reports sent to it, newest first. A weekly email tells you what’s new, or a daily one if you prefer.
Coroners’ reports and the 56-day tracker
Prevention of Future Deaths reports from judiciary.uk, with who each was sent to. Recipients have 56 days to respond: for each one we show the deadline and whether a response is published on judiciary.uk.
Healthwatch reports
Reports local Healthwatch published about what people told them, such as visits to hospital wards and care homes, searchable alongside the board papers.
