Plans and prices

Searching and reading extracts are free on every plan, and so is a link to every original document. Where a publisher allows it, you can also open our copy of the whole document. Pay when you need more, or for your team.

“No monthly limit” means as much as one person needs for their own work. Features marked coming soon are on their way; we don’t charge for a feature until you can use it (terms section 3).

Organisation or Enterprise: which is right for you?

Organisation

For teams of 3 to 15 who want to buy online: charities, union branches, small law firms and research groups. £24 a person a month, or £240 a year. Pay by card or invoice, and add people any time.

Enterprise

For larger teams, NHS bodies, national charities, law firms and anyone who needs single sign-on, procurement paperwork, data or briefings. Priced for your organisation: get in touch and we will send a quote. Larger teams pay less per person than on Organisation.

Questions people ask

What counts as a document?

One set of minutes, one board pack or one coroner’s report. Opening the same document again in the same month doesn’t count twice. Searching, reading short extracts and following a link to the original never count.

Do you charge VAT?

No. No VAT is charged on any plan: the price shown is the total you pay.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time in Plan and billing. You keep your plan to the end of the period you have paid for. If you subscribe as a consumer you can also cancel within 14 days and pay only for the days you used. See section 7 of our terms.

How does the press check work?

Send us evidence that you work as a journalist, such as a press card or a work email. A person checks it, usually within five working days. Once it is approved you can start 14 days free, with no card. If you buy the Journalist plan first, you have the Pro plan’s features until the check is approved, and if we can’t approve it you choose between moving to Pro with the difference refunded or a full refund.

How do free trials work?

Pro, Journalist and Organisation start with 14 days free. You don’t need a card. If you don’t add payment details by the end, you move to Free and nothing you saved is deleted. We email you 3 days before the end, and on the day, with a link to cancel. A trial is once per person, and for Organisation once per organisation: see section 6.8 of our terms.

Which organisations do you cover?

Board papers from NHS and HSC organisations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The What we hold page lists which ones, and which years we hold.

Can I quote what I find?

Yes. Every result shows where it came from, with a ready-made citation. Check the original before you publish, as scanned papers can contain reading errors.
