We collect public board papers and minutes from NHS and HSC organisations in all four nations, straight from their own websites. Where we haven’t managed to collect an organisation yet, we say so.
What the types of organisation do
- NHS trusts:
- Run hospitals or other NHS services in part of England.
- Health boards:
- Plan and run NHS services, hospitals included, for an area of Scotland or Wales.
- HSC trusts:
- Run health and social care services in part of Northern Ireland.
- Integrated care boards and former CCGs:
- Integrated care boards (ICBs) plan and pay for NHS services in an area of England. Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) did this job before ICBs replaced them in 2022.
- National organisations:
- Run or oversee part of the health service across a nation.
- Regulators and safety organisations:
- Check the quality and safety of health and care services, or set standards.
- Integration joint boards:
- Plan health and social care for a council area in Scotland.
- Professional regulators:
- Keep the register of a health or care profession and set its standards.
- Local Healthwatch:
- Collect people’s views on local health and care services.
